Accidents happen. Whether you’ve experienced an accident or injury to your eye area or you notice sudden changes to your vision, we’re here to assist.
When an incident occurs, call our office right away. During regular business hours, we’ll work to get you in as soon as possible. If you can outside of business hours, leave a voicemail. Our on-call optometrist will review your message and call you back to recommend next steps.

What Is Considered an Eye Emergency?
Eye emergencies include:
- Any blunt force trauma, like a hit to the head or eye area
- Chemical exposure
- Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
- Foreign object in the eye
- Corneal abrasion (scratches on the eye)
- Sudden changes to vision, such as double vision, vision loss, or an increase in flashes and floaters
How to Avoid Eye Injuries
While accidents are unintentional and may seem unavoidable, there are a few steps you can take to keep your eyes safer at work, home, or while playing sports.
We recommend always using proper eye protection while on a job site or working on an at-home DIY project. Safety glasses and goggles can prevent eye injuries and exposure to chemicals, preserving your vision and comfort.
For our athletes, we carry Liberty Sport glasses, which offer a durable design that prevents accidents on the court or the field.
