Dr. Dillion Smith earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina in biological sciences. He then completed his Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. After achieving his O.D., Dr. Smith spent four years working with an ophthalmologist, where he gained experience treating eye conditions including glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, dry eye, and cataracts.
Dr. Smith provides personalized eye care to all his patients to help them get the most out of their vision. He specializes in emergency eye care, ocular disease management and treatment, dry eye management, and especially loves helping older patients preserve their sight. He also performs comprehensive eye exams.
A Florida native, Dr. Smith’s passion for optometry was originally inspired by his family’s work in medicine. He prides himself on using his knowledge and experience to provide his community with the highest quality eye care, placing great value on putting patients’ needs first. Dr. Smith’s caring nature is not only reflected in his desire to improve patients’ quality of life, but also in his previous work as a volunteer beach lifeguard in Jacksonville.
When not at St. Johns Eye Associates, you can find Dr. Smith near the beach—biking, fishing, and even scuba diving!
