At St. Johns Eye Associates, our mission is simple: Take great care of patients!

We want our patients to receive great care from their first phone call to our office, throughout their entire experience, until the moment they leave. This is why we need an awesome full-time person at our front desk: to handle phone calls, greet people who come in, make patients feel welcome in the office, and handle some of the administrative and billing tasks that allow us to provide a high level of care at all times.

We are currently looking for a full-time employee to join our team as an ophthalmic technician — working directly with our patients to gather information and do automated testing prior to their eye examinations. Experience in the field is not necessary: we will train the right person to help us take great care of our patients!

About the Optometrist Position

An optometrist who is passionate, detail-oriented, and caring would fit well within our office. Ideally, we are seeking a candidate who takes initiative without being asked, has a high degree of accuracy in charting, and is extremely comfortable prescribing high-end products without hangups or feeling awkward.

An optometrist who is focused on the medical model is preferred. We encourage growth among our staff members and offer plenty of opportunities for professional and personal growth!

The Jacksonville office is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

Make sure that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements
Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge
Be comfortable explaining eyewear prescription terminology to customers
Take and record measurements with flawless accuracy; adjust and fit eyewear as needed
Knock socks off left and right with stellar customer service
Communicate our values and brand philosophy to customers
Provide style consulting and assist customers in choosing the right glasses for their needs
Able to project a professional, fashion-forward image
Make customers feel welcome and happy in our practice
