How to Prepare for Your Appointment

Our patient intake forms are available online for you to fill out at your convenience prior to your appointment. Completing these ahead of time ensures a fast check-in process — and more time focused on you and what you want when you come in!
Pre-Testing & Screening at St. John's Eye Associates

Pre-Testing & Screening

Our team uses the most up-to-date diagnostic tests and screening technology to detect eye diseases, even their earliest signs, well before they affect your vision or day-to-day life. Pre-testing involves autorefraction, a pressure test, and a retinal screening. We’re also happy to offer retinal imaging: this excellent, much more comfortable alternative to dilation isn’t just hundreds of times more thorough, it also gives us a historical record of changes in your sight that helps us monitor ongoing eye health.

Comprehensive Exams at St. John's Eye Associates

Comprehensive Exams

After pre-testing is over, the technician will lead you to an exam room, where one of our doctors will review your medical history, go over any questions or concerns you have about your eye health, and follow up on your pre-screening with a closer look. By having a scribe in the exam room, our doctors can devote their full attention to your ocular needs. That, and our use of cutting-edge technology, enables us to get your prescription precisely right the first time.
